Halloween Against Hunger

Let's Give Hunger a Scare this Year!

Halloween Against Hunger is, first, a celebration of Halloween - of dressing up and crossing the neighborhood to collect candy and goodies on Halloween night. Yet, at its core, Halloween Against Hunger is a food drive. Trick-or-treaters bring non-perishable food items or monetary donations to participating drop-off locations. These locations, whether private homes, schools, businesses, organizations, fire or police departments create a festive and safe atmosphere with candy, cider, costumes and decorations.

THE MISSION
Generate local support for local food pantries. Celebrate Halloween by providing safe, entertaining places for families and kids of all ages to trick-or-treat.

THE GOAL
Fight hunger by spreading Halloween Against Hunger around the state and the nation. The ultimate goal of Halloween Against Hunger is to expand the fight against hunger throughout the year, not just the winter holiday season. Whenever people talk about the event, whenever a host posts a flyer, whenever a home or organization participates on Halloween night, the message is reinforced: hunger never ends.
